There's simply no way that you haven't come across the phrase "click here," especially if you're an avid internet user. It's a phrase that internet marketing folks use as a call-to-action message, but if you are a wise online businessperson, you would avoid using this phrase. This phrase had its time several years ago, but it is clear that it has lost its power, especially since internet users are becoming more knowledgeable these days.
The problem with using the phrase is that it doesn't help you connect with your customers. If you put yourself in your customer's shoes, you will even dread this phrase because it will make you feel like people who use it only want your money and they will do everything just to make you buy from them. The key to succeeding in business is building strong relationships with your customers, and if you fail to achieve that with your call-to-action message, there's no way you can make conversions.
Using the phrase doesn't do anything good to your site's credibility either. It's possible that people will find good content when they enter your site, but a call-to-action message that is not well-thought of will never convince them to buy from you. Instead of the phrase "click here," why not just say "Find out why we are among the top companies you should consider?" There's no doubt that this is a better way to connect with your customers and even a better way of selling your services.
Perhaps the main reason why there are still a lot of marketers today who are using such an inefficient method as this one is lack of knowledge. For some, it is the lack of good resources that keeps them from getting to the next level. If you are determined to boost the growth of your business and be among the strongest competitors online, start getting rid of your old, useless ideas and invest in strategies that actually work.
Internet users are more internet-savvy now, and you cannot convince them into buying your product by simply saying "click here." Think of fresh and creative ways to deliver your message and you will see a significant increase in your website's conversion rate. Do away with your conventional call-to-action messages and replace them with something more active and aggressive that will surely get the attention of your customers.
