Should The Page Rank Of An Article Directory Be A Factor?

There is no argument about the value of the Page Rank. It indicates the content volume of a site, and it also proves the site's popularity, or how many external links it has pointing to it.

We all strive for the highest Page Rank we can muster for good reason. The higher your ranking is, the more visitors you get and the brighter your sale opportunities would be.

That explains the reason behind the submission of articles. Placing articles on your site increases its relative content volume, and submitting the articles with a bio box creates external links pointing to your site.

It's all about exposure! High visibility will translate into more business.

Easy to understand actually.

On second thought, it is not that simple at all.

It is not just a matter of the more links there are, the better. You see, there's a method to the madness that brings it all full circle.

You have to put your articles in better performing sites than yours if you are to get the desired result of earning a higher ranking via external links.

This begs the question of whether or not the same can be said of Article Directories.

If you're one who submits articles manually and are under time constraints, the quick answer would be yes, it does apply.

You have only so much time to get your articles into sites that will bring you the quickest exposure you can get.

There is a catch however, because the Page Ranks of Articles Directories are made unstable due to changes in the everyday statistics made possible by the rapid fire submission software.

Some Article Directories of late have appeared out of nowhere one week, and the next have well over 1,000 articles already submitted to them. So it is a safe bet that it will hit the 5 to 10 thousand mark after a month.

It is not then a farfetched possibility that an inconsequential Article Directory in the last preceding list can shoot up to the top four or five in the rankings when Google releases the next Page Rank in its quarterly Page Rank.

The Page Rank of an Article Directory that will be of utmost consequence will be right after the release of the latest Google ranking.

And even then, that would still only matter if you're in a time rush to get quality links to your site and manually submit to 5 to 10 of the best known sites to do it.

So the answer is twofold.

A yes answer to the page rank importance would be conditioned by the assumption that you are submitting your articles manually.

It is a different ball game for those who submit articles to the different sites and in the process contribute to the higher placing of more Article Directories in the Page rank than was possible before.

This can only bode well for everybody.
